Throughout the course, my knowledge and perspective towards Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management changed significantly. The course provided me with a deeper understanding of how leadership commitment, employee participation, communication, supervision, and risk perception influence the success or failure of safety systems within an organization. I learned that most workplace incidents are not caused only by unsafe conditions, but also by human behavior, poor decision-making, lack of communication, and failure to identify hazards before work begins
