I had a basic understanding of workplace health and safety, as i progressed through the course, my knowledge and understanding of OHS developed.
I learned how to identify workplace hazards, asses and control risks and to promote a safe and healthy work environment. i have also gained knowledge of occupational health safety legalization, emergency preparedness, PPE, work place inspections, risk assessment and safety management system.
Through my learning journey i have developed a strong understanding of the responsibility that both employer and employee have in preventing injuries, and accident.
The course has transformed the way i look at workplace safety. i now see occupational health and safety not only as a set of rules and regulations, but as ana essential part of protecting peoples lives, health and the environment.
