At the beginning of my Mechanical Engineering course specializing in Automotive Engineering at Ken Institute, I had basic knowledge of vehicle systems, engines, and workshop repairs. Through the course, I have gained a deeper understanding of automotive technology, engine diagnosis, maintenance procedures, fault-finding, and the correct use of tools and workshop equipment.
I have also learned the importance of safety, accuracy, proper documentation, teamwork, and continuous learning in the workshop. As a workshop technician at Kagem Mine, I will apply these skills to diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment effectively, carry out preventive maintenance, follow safe working procedures, and improve equipment reliability.
Going forward, I will build on this knowledge by strengthening my practical diagnostic skills, keeping up with modern automotive technology, and becoming a more competent, safe, and reliable technician.
