When I started the Graduate with Honors in Health, Safety and Environmental Management course, my understanding of HSE has improved a lot.
Through the course, my perspective completely transformed. I learned that HSE is about building a safety culture, not just avoiding accidents. Key lessons included risk assessment, incident investigation, root cause analysis, legal frameworks, environmental impact management, and leadership in safety. The case study on ENHL BONATTI CONSTRUCTION Civil Works taught me how to connect real organisational data to solutions instead of giving generic answers.
Most importantly, I learned to think like an HSE professional: proactive, data-driven, and people-focused. I now understand how to conduct audits, analyze KPIs, and design interventions that actually prevent incidents.
I will build a career where I help organizations move from reactive safety to proactive safety culture. My goal is to implement practical HSE management systems in construction and energy projects in Mozambique and around the world.
