It has equipped me with the essential skills to identify workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement international HSE regulations to protect lives. I have learned to develop safety policies, enforce legal compliance, and design emergency response and incident investigation procedures. To share my knowledge and skills with the rest of my team and organization to uplift safety and to strive for zero harm. Identify, assess and manage fatal risks using a hierarchy of controls and verify critical controls are in place and effective before and during execution of work and to clearly define to employees, contractors, visitors, and suppliers (at each level) their responsibilities with respect to OH&S.
I will build and focus on the following points, but not limited too:
– Eliminating fatalities and life-changing injuries.
– Full compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
– Effective management and continual improvement of our health and safety
performance, with Board and Executive level oversight.
– Transparent communication and engagement in relation to our Health and
Safety performance with internal and external stakeholders.
In summary, the learning process, combined with my practical experience in the workplace, has contributed significantly to my transformation as a safety professional. I believe that this development has strengthened my capability as a Safety Manager and has enhanced my professional competence and future employability.
