What Have I Achieved?
Throughout my Mechanical Engineering learning journey, I have developed a stronger understanding of engineering principles, mechanical design, materials and stress analysis, machine components, electrical systems, mechatronics, automation, and predictive maintenance. I have learned how to approach engineering challenges systematically by applying theoretical knowledge, mathematical calculations, technical analysis, and problem-solving techniques to real-world industrial situations.
Most importantly, I have learned that engineering is not only about understanding how machines work, but also about designing safer, more efficient, reliable, and sustainable systems.
2. What Will I Build?
I intend to apply my knowledge and over years of experience in the field of maintenance to develop practical engineering solutions that improve industrial productivity, equipment reliability, and operational safety. My goal is to design and develop a Predictive Smart Maintenance System and Control, integrating mechanical engineering, sensor technology, mechatronics, automation, and Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring.
Through this project, I aim to demonstrate how vibration, temperature, and electrical monitoring can help detect developing faults in industrial motors and bearings before catastrophic failures occur. The system will incorporate a prototype, engineering calculations, simulation, and an alerting mechanism to support timely maintenance decisions.
I developed this ideas due to the very high competive Technologies of todays market, where by clients are in dileman of what to choose. As in the choice of equipment base on 2 basics factors such as 1) Human Factors and 2) Mechanical Factors. An Engineer has a challenges of meeting these factors that will lead to Maintainability,Availability,Durability and Cost effects. With these any “designs”can withstand the current competition in the aftersales market challenges.Which will includes maintenaning,Training and availability of replacement parts.
3. My Transformation as an Engineer
From the beginning of my learning journey to its completion, I have progressed from understanding engineering concepts to applying them in practical design, analysis, and innovation. This transformation has strengthened my confidence, analytical thinking, technical creativity, and commitment to continuous professional development.
Also learning about FEA, CNC,CFD,and system Engineering made more confident as my always is to have knowledge and practice Mechatronics.
As a Mechanical Engineering Graduation Honors graduate, I aspire to become an engineer who bridges theory and practice, embraces emerging technologies, and develops intelligent solutions to real industrial problems. My ultimate objective is to contribute to a future where engineering systems are smarter, more reliable, and more sustainable.
